2-Day Adventure Itinerary for Coorg and Mysore in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Coorg
    4 hours (115 km) from Bangalore

    Morning: Begin with an early morning trek to Tadiandamol Peak, the highest peak in Coorg. The trek is moderately challenging and takes approximately 4-5 hours. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Western Ghats and lush green forests along the way.

    Afternoon: After lunch, visit the Dubare Elephant Camp, where you can interact with elephants, learn about their lifestyle, and indulge in activities such as elephant rides and river rafting.

    Evening: End the day with a visit to the Abbey Falls, which is at its peak during the monsoon season. The waterfall is located amidst coffee plantations and is a sight to behold.

  2. Day 2: Mysore
    3 hours 30 minutes (120 km) from Coorg

    Morning: Start the day with a visit to the Mysore Palace, an architectural marvel that is an epitome of the grandeur of the Wadiyar dynasty. The palace is a feast for the eyes with its intricate carvings and paintings.

    Afternoon: After lunch, head to Chamundi Hills, a popular trekking spot, and climb up the 1000 steps to reach the top. At the summit, you will find the Chamundeshwari Temple, which is believed to be over 1000 years old and is a significant religious site in Karnataka.

    Evening: End the day with a visit to the Brindavan Gardens, a stunning garden built across the Kaveri River. The gardens are illuminated with thousands of lights in the evening, and the musical fountain is a must-see.
