For transportation, rent a motorbike with travel cost for approximately $5/day. Be careful while driving as it can be chaotic, but it's the best way to get around Bali as the traffic can be notoriously unpredictable, and taxis can be expensive.
If you have more time, visit the Bali Swing in Ubud. Avoid Kuta and Legian as they can be over-crowded and touristy. Bali is a tropical island, so make sure you are well hydrated and put on sunscreen. Also, respect Balinese culture when visiting temples and dress modestly.
