You can also enjoy a boat ride on the lake or simply walk around and soak up the beautiful surroundings.
End your adventure on a high by visiting the iconic Palace of Culture and Science, the tallest building in Poland, and the main landmark of Warsaw. You can take a high-speed elevator to the top viewing terrace to see the breathtaking view of the cityscape as you sip on a drink from the rooftop café.
Public transport in Warsaw is efficient and affordable. You can choose from trams, buses or metros to move around the city. A single ticket costs 4.40 PLN and is valid for 20 minutes. A 24-hour ticket costs 15 PLN and is valid for all public transport within the city. Taxis are also available but can be more expensive. A taxi ride from the airport to the city centre takes around 30 minutes and costs between 40-60 PLN.
If you have more time, you can visit the Warsaw Uprising Museum to learn about the city's heroic past or take a day trip to the nearby Kazimierz Dolny to explore a picturesque medieval town. If you have less time, you can combine Day 1 and Day 2 by visiting the Old Town and Lazienki Park on the same day.
Warsaw has two international airports, Chopin Airport (WAW) and Modlin Airport (WMI). Chopin Airport is located 10km south of the city centre and is the main airport for international flights. Modlin Airport is a smaller airport located 40km north of Warsaw and is mostly used by low-cost airlines. A shuttle bus connects Modlin Airport to the city centre and the journey takes around 40 minutes.
