Getting around on the Malapascua Island is quite straightforward. Different transportation modes are available, including motorcycles, tricycles, and boats, available from most hotels. Rented bicycles are also a great option at your disposal. Taxis always provide the commute to and from the port to the mainland. The transport cost is quite low and economical for tourists.
If you have more time, you can explore the neighboring towns of San Remigio, Sante Fe, and Bantayan Island. Do not forget to carry insect Repellent and sunscreen as the temperature on the island can get quite high. So, it would be best to wear comfortable clothes.
The Malapascua island has no airport. The nearest commercial airport is the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB). Daily flights are available from Manila, Cebu, Philippine cities, and foreign countries. The distance to Cebu City is about 130 kilometers, and the travel time is around 5 hours.
