6-Day Itinerary for Gujarat Somnath Dwarka Surat in April 2024

  1. Day 1: Ahmedabad
    15 minutes (5.1 miles) from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Sabarmati Ashram, where Mahatma Gandhi spent some of his most significant years and learn about his life and philosophy. In the afternoon, head to the Jama Masjid, one of the most magnificent mosques in India with its elegant architecture and gorgeous design. End the day by exploring the Kankaria Lake and enjoy some street food.

  2. Day 2: Somnath
    7 hours (384 miles) from Ahmedabad

    Visit the Somnath Temple in the morning, a famous Hindu Temple situated by the Arabian Sea. The temple is believed to be the first among the twelve jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, head to the Triveni Sangam, where three rivers meet. The place is calm and serene, and you can capture some stunning photographs during the sunset. End the day by visiting the Bhalka Tirtha, a significant pilgrimage site for Lord Krishna devotees.

  3. Day 3: Dwarka
    1 hour 40 minutes (80 miles) from Somnath

    Begin the day by visiting the Dwarkadhish Temple, an elaborate and stunningly beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. In the afternoon, head to the Rukmini Devi Temple, a temple of goddess Rukmini, the wife of Lord Krishna.   6. Day 6: Vadodara

    Visit the Laxmi Vilas Palace, one of the most magnificent heritage buildings in India, and explore the museum inside it. In the afternoon, visit the Baroda Museum and Picture Gallery, an excellent museum with an extensive collection of art and artifacts. End the day by exploring the Kirti Mandir, a memorial dedicated to the Gaekwad dynasty, and enjoying some delicious Gujarati Thali.
