After arriving at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, transfer to your hotel, and rest for the day. You can explore the city on your own or join a free walking tour to see some landmarks and try local food.
Take a public bus from North Bus Terminal to Maya Port, then a boat to Malapascua Island. Spend the day on the beach, snorkeling, and kayaking. You can also visit the Bounty Beach or climb the Malapascua Lighthouse for panoramic views.
Join an island hopping tour to see Kalanggaman Island, famous for its crystal-clear waters and long sandbar, or Carnaza Island, a hidden gem with white sand beaches and rock formations. You can also snorkel at Monad Shoal, a dive site known for sighting thresher sharks.
Take a boat to Hagnaya Port, then a bus or van to Santa Fe Port. Head to your hotel, and spend the day exploring Bantayan Town, Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church, or walking on Bantayan Beach.

Take a bus or van back to Cebu City, then transfer to the airport for your flight home.
To save money on transportation, take public buses or vans instead of taxis or private transfers. The travel time may be longer, but the tickets are cheaper, and you can immerse yourself in the local culture. Always double-check the bus schedules and ask for help from the locals if you're unsure of the directions. Negotiate with boat operators if you plan to visit nearby islands to get the best deal. Bring cash for the fares, as some boats and buses don't accept credit cards.
If you have more time, you can add a visit to Moalboal Sardine Run, where millions of sardines swim close to the shore, or go on a Whale Shark Watching tour in Oslob. You can also spend an extra day in Bantayan Island or Malapascua Island to relax and enjoy the beaches. If you have less time, you can skip Osmeña Peak or Moalboal and focus on the islands' hopping tours. Bring eco-friendly sunscreen and insect repellent, as some tours prohibit the use of non-biodegradable products.
Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB) is the primary airport serving Cebu and nearby provinces, including Bohol and Negros. It's located in Lapu-Lapu City, about 15 kilometers from Cebu City. From the airport, you can take a taxi, Grab or GoTo, or a shuttle bus to your hotel. The travel time depends on the traffic and your destination, but it usually takes 30 minutes to 2 hours. Another airport, Cebu-Mactan Air Base (APO), is used for military and chartered flights only.
