Rishikesh Cultural Immersion Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Parmarth Niketan Ashram
    15 minutes (3.2 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    In the morning, head over to the Parmarth Niketan Ashram, which is one of the largest ashrams in Rishikesh. Attend the early morning Ganga Aarti, a ritual that pays homage to the river goddess Ganga. Explore the ashram grounds and visit the Satsang Hall for a yoga and meditation session. In the afternoon, visit the ashram's Ayurvedic clinic and avail a rejuvenating massage. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti again and witness the beauty of the lit up river.

  2. Day 2: Beatles Ashram and Neer Garh Waterfall
    20 minutes (6.5 km) from Parmarth Niketan Ashram

    Start your day by visiting the Beatles Ashram, which was once the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's ashram where the Beatles stayed in 1968. Explore the graffiti-filled ashram and learn about the history of the place. In the afternoon, head over to the Neer Garh Waterfall, which is a 20-minute drive from the ashram. Take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy the beautiful scenery around. In the evening, head back to Rishikesh and enjoy the local street food.

  3. Day 3: Swarg Ashram and Triveni Ghat

  4. Day 4: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (50.2 km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    On your final day, go on a wildlife safari at the Rajaji National Park. The park is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including tigers, leopards, elephants, and many bird species. Take a guided tour of the park and learn about the different species that call this place home. In the afternoon, head back to Rishikesh and visit the local markets for some shopping. In the evening, attend a classical music or dance performance at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre.
