3-Day VaishnoDevi Honeymoon Itinerary in July 2023
Day 1: Mata Vaishno Devi Temple

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi. The temple is a 12 km trek from Katra, which takes around 4-5 hours for an average person. You can take a pony or a palanquin ride to the temple for a more comfortable experience.
Afternoon: After seeking blessings from the goddess, head towards the Bhairavnath Temple, located 2.5 km from the main temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Bhairav, who is believed to be the protector of Mata Vaishno Devi.
Evening: Spend the evening exploring the local markets of Katra, which offer a variety of souvenirs, handicrafts and delicious street food.
Day 2: Shiv Khori
Located in Ransoo, 70 km from Katra (2 hours 30 minutes drive)
Morning:Start your day early, and embark on a trip to Shiv Khori, a mystical cave shrine of Lord Shiva. The cave is around 150 metres long and houses a naturally formed Shivlinga.
Afternoon:After the darshan, explore the nearby areas and visit the beautiful Baba Dansar waterfall, which is around 15 km from the cave.
Evening:Return to Katra and enjoy a romantic dinner at one of the local restaurants.
Day 3: Nau Devi Temple and Dera Baba Banda Temple
Located in the outskirts of Katra, both temples are around 13 km and 45 minutes drive from Katra.
Morning:Start your day by visiting the Nau Devi Temple, which is dedicated to the nine forms of Goddess Durga. The temple is located on a hilltop and offers a panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
Afternoon:After the darshan, head towards the Dera Baba Banda Temple, which is located on the banks of the Chenab river. The temple is dedicated to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, a warrior who fought against the Mughals.
Evening:Return to Katra and spend the evening at leisure or explore the local areas.

Other local attractions that you can consider visiting are Patnitop, which is around 80 km from Katra and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. You can also visit the Mansar Lake, located around 60 km from Katra, which is a popular picnic spot. If you have an extra day, you can plan a trip to Jammu city and visit the famous Raghunath Temple and the Bahu Fort.
