Morning: Hike to the top of the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad. It is a 3-4 hour trek to the top of the peak. The heart-shaped lake on top of the peak is a major attraction.
Afternoon: Visit the Pookode Lake, which is a freshwater lake surrounded by forests. Take a paddle boat ride to enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake.
Evening: Visit the Edakkal Caves to see the ancient stone carvings and paintings. These caves are known for their pictorial writings that date back to the Neolithic era.
Morning: Visit the Thirunelli Temple, which is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located in a valley surrounded by mountains and is known for its traditional Kerala architecture.
Afternoon: Take a jeep safari to the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of fauna including elephants, tigers, and leopards.
Evening: Visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earthen dam in India. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on the dam while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding hills.
If you have time, you can also visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to a variety of endangered species such as the Indian elephant, Bengal tiger, and Indian bison. You can also take a trip to the Soochipara Waterfalls, which is a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
