Transportation

Bali has a good transportation system. Generally, blue taxis are the most reliable way to get around. Renting a scooter is also an option for a more adventurous experience. Public transport such as buses is not always convenient, but it can be an affordable option. However, traffic can be heavy, and long travel days are common in Bali. For intercity travel, hiring a private car with driver is recommended. A private car and driver can range from IDR 400,000 to IDR 700,000 per day, depending on the car and destination.

Useful Tips

If you have more time, explore some of the lesser-known places like the royal palace in Klungkung, the Art Market in Sukawati or the hidden paradise of Nungnung waterfall. If you have less time, adjust your itinerary accordingly. Bali is known for its rich culture, scenic natural beauty, and old-world charm. Be sure to plan your itinerary with these features in mind.

Airports

Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS), is the main international and domestic gateway in Bali. The airport is located in southern Bali, 13 km south of Denpasar, the capital city of Bali. It is about 40 minutes away from Kuta and Seminyak by car and 30 minutes away from Ubud.
