4-Day Nature Itinerary in Rishikesh, Tungnath, Chopta in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Rishikesh
    Starting Point

    Begin your day with a serene walk on the banks of the Ganges River and watch the sunrise from one of the many ghats. After breakfast, head to Neer Garh Waterfall for a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water. Later, visit the Beatles Ashram and explore the vibrant street markets for some local souvenirs.

    In the afternoon, enjoy an adventurous session of whitewater rafting in the Ganges. End your day with an enchanting Aarti ceremony at Triveni Ghat.

After lunch, visit the Tungnath Temple, one of the Panch Kedar shrines. The temple is located at an altitude of 3,680 meters and offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

    In the evening, enjoy a nature walk around the town and spot some rare mountain birds and animals.

  3. Day 3: Chopta
    From Tungnath to Chopta - 4.5 km (15 min drive)

    Wake up to a beautiful sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast before checking out and heading to Chopta, also known as the "Mini Switzerland of India". Once you arrive, take a trek to the Chandrashila Peak, located at an altitude of 4,000 meters. Alternatively, you can visit the Deoria Tal Lake, a serene and tranquil spot that is perfect for a picnic.

    In the evening, enjoy a relaxing campfire and stargazing session under the clear night sky.

  4. Day 4: Chopta
    End Point

    On your final day, enjoy a leisurely morning and spend some time exploring the town's picturesque beauty. You can opt for a yoga session in the serene environment or visit the nearby Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary to spot some rare wildlife species. After lunch, head back to your starting point.

If you have more time in Rishikesh, you can include a visit to the Rajaji National Park, where you can spot some rare species of flora and fauna.
