4-Day Itinerary for Somnath Temple in Gujrat in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Somnath Temple
    5 minutes (0.5 miles) from Somnath Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the famous Somnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and take in the beautiful architecture. In the afternoon, head to Triveni Sangam, the confluence of three holy rivers, and take a holy dip. In the evening, stroll through the lively Somnath Bazaar and indulge in some shopping and street food.

  2. Day 2: Gir National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (39 miles) from Somnath Temple

    In the morning, take a safari tour of Gir National Park, the only natural habitat of Asiatic Lions. Spot other wildlife such as leopards, hyenas, and crocodiles. In the afternoon, visit the Kamleshwar Dam and enjoy a boat ride. In the evening, relax at your hotel or explore the nearby Junagadh city.

  3. Day 3: Diu Island
    1 hour 30 minutes (48 miles) from Gir National Park

    In the morning, drive to Diu Island and explore the Diu Fort, St. Paul's Church, and Naida Caves. Take a dip in the Nagoa Beach and enjoy the cool breeze.
