4-Day Goa Itinerary for Shoestring Budget Travellers

  1. Day 1: Visit the Beaches of North Goa
    30 minutes (11.9 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your morning by renting a bike/scooter to explore the beautiful beaches of North Goa. Visit Anjuna Beach, Vagator Beach and Morjim Beach. Relax on the beaches, take a dip in the sea or indulge in some water sports activities. In the afternoon, visit Fort Aguada and enjoy the scenic view from the fort. In the evening, head to Baga Beach and enjoy the nightlife with some live music, food and drinks.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Churches and Temples
    1 hour 10 minutes (32.3 km) from Baga Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral. Both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and have a rich history. In the afternoon, visit the Mangueshi Temple and Shanta Durga Temple. Take a stroll around the temples and learn about the Hindu customs and rituals. In the evening, head to Panaji and enjoy the sunset at Miramar Beach.

  3. Day 3: Visit the Spice Plantations and Waterfalls

  4. Day 4: Visit the Museums and Art Galleries

    Start your morning by visiting the Goa State Museum and learn about the history, culture and traditions of Goa. In the afternoon, visit the Mario Gallery and appreciate the artwork of local artists. In the evening, head to the Fontainhas area and take a walk around the Latin Quarter of Panaji. Admire the colourful houses and buildings that date back to the Portuguese era.
