On the way back, stop by the spice plantations to learn about the various spices grown in Goa.
Spend your penultimate day in Goa exploring Fort Aguada. Built in the early 17th century, this fort offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. Make sure to visit the lighthouse, which is one of the oldest in Asia. In the evening, head to the Anjuna Flea Market, one of the most popular markets in Goa. Here, you can browse through stalls selling handicrafts, clothes, jewelry, and souvenirs. Make sure to bargain for the best prices!
On your last day in Goa, visit the Chapora Fort. This fort is famous for its appearance in the Bollywood movie, Dil Chahta Hai. From the top of the fort, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Vagator Beach and the Arabian Sea. After you've taken in the views, head to Vagator Beach for some relaxation and to soak up the last bit of sun. In the evening, head to Club Cubana, one of the most famous nightclubs in Goa, for some dancing and drinks.
Goa has plenty to offer, and five days may not be enough to cover everything. If you have more time, consider visiting the following places: Calangute Beach, Ancestral Goa Museum, Reis Magos Fort, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. You can also take a day trip to the nearby state of Karnataka to visit the famous Jog Falls. To maximize your fun, make sure to try out the local seafood, especially the prawn curry and fish thali.
