Mahabalipuram is a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its intricate rock-carved temples and sculptures. In the morning, visit the Shore Temple, one of the oldest temples in South India and the Five Rathas, five monolithic temples carved out of a single rock formation. In the afternoon, explore the Arjuna's Penance, an enormous rock carving depicting Hindu mythology. In the evening, relax on the beach and watch the sunset.
Palolem Beach is a beautiful and secluded beach in South Goa. In the morning, take a yoga class on the beach or go for a swim. In the afternoon, take a boat trip to see the dolphins near the beach or visit the nearby Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening, have dinner at one of the beachside restaurants and enjoy live music performances.
If you have extra time, visit the Pancha Rathas, a group of five monolithic temples located near the Shore Temple in Mahabalipuram. You can also take a day trip to Auroville, an experimental community located about an hour's drive from Mahabalipuram. In Goa, you can take a side trip to Dudhsagar Falls or visit the Old Goa churches, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
