3-Day Goa Itinerary for Shoestring Budget Travellers in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa
    20 minutes (9.6 km) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day by exploring the famous Anjuna Beach known for its Wednesday Flea Market. After that, visit Vagator Beach which has a magnificent view of the Chapora Fort.

    Afternoon: Head to the Baga Beach and rent a scooter to explore the nearby Calangute Beach and Candolim Beach. Stop at Britto's for some delicious seafood.

    Evening: Watch the sunset at the beautiful Arambol Beach followed by a bonfire at night with some live music and drinks.

  2. Day 2: Old Goa and Panaji Exploration
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 km) from Arambol Beach

    Morning: Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the breathtaking architecture. After that, head to the Se Cathedral which is one of the largest churches in Asia.

    Afternoon: Walk around the Fontainhas Quarter in Panaji and admire the colourful Portuguese-style houses. Stop by the famous Panaji Market to experience the local Goan culture.

    Evening: Enjoy the sunset at Miramar Beach and then head to the Casino Carnival in Panaji for some fun and games.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Waterfalls Trek and Spice Plantation Tour
    2 hours 30 minutes (76 km) from Casino Carnival

    Morning: Wake up early and head to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls for a trek. This four-tiered waterfall is a must-visit spot for nature lovers.

    Afternoon: After the trek, head to the Sahakari Spice Farm and take a tour to learn about the various spices grown in this region. Enjoy an authentic Goan lunch at the farm.

    Evening: Head back to your hotel and enjoy your last evening in Goa by relaxing at the beach.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Cabo de Rama Fort, the Divar Island, and the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. You can also take a day trip to the neighbouring state of Karnataka and visit the Gokarna Beach and the Mahabaleshwar Temple.
