3-Day Foodie Itinerary in Goa for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mapusa Market
    20 minutes (6.5 miles) from the airport

    In the morning, head to Mapusa Market and explore the fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables. Indulge in the local street food like pav bhaji, bhel puri and vada pav for an authentic Goan experience. For lunch, head to Gunpowder and try their mouth-watering pork vindaloo and prawn curry. Spend the afternoon relaxing at Anjuna beach, sipping on chilled beer or cocktails. In the evening, head to Thirsty Bear for some craft beer and live music.

  2. Day 2: Velha Goa (Old Goa)
    1 hour (15 miles) from Anjuna beach

    In the morning, visit Velha Goa and take a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral. After a cultural morning, head to Ritz Classic for lunch and try their famous fish thali and mussels in butter garlic sauce. Spend the afternoon at the Baga-Calangute beach, and indulge in some water sports. In the evening, head to Gunpowder again and try their mushroom xacuti and pork sorpotel.

  3. Day 3: Panaji
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Baga-Calangute beach

    In the morning, head to the Fontainhas area and take a walking tour of the Latin Quarter to appreciate its unique architecture. For lunch, head to Black Sheep Bistro and try their slow-cooked pork belly. In the afternoon, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and enjoy the lush greenery and bird watching. In the evening, head to Mum's Kitchen and try their famous chicken cafreal and bebinca for dessert.

Recommendations

Don't miss the chance to try the fish curry rice, Goan sausage and pork vindaloo. The Dudhsagar waterfall, Aguada Fort and Chapora Fort are also worth a visit. To maximize your fun, try some water sports like parasailing, jet skiing and banana boat rides. You can also take a day trip to the nearby Dudhsagar waterfall and spice plantations.
