Spend the morning exploring the monastery and taking in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Kibber village, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. End your day with a visit to the charming Tabo village to see the Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Spend your second day exploring the Pin Valley National Park, home to a variety of flora and fauna including rare snow leopards. The park is a paradise for nature lovers, offering breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and meandering rivers. Start your day with a visit to the Kungri Monastery, located inside the park. Afterward, take a guided trek to the Pin Valley, which is surrounded by towering mountains. In the evening, return to Kaza and explore the town's local markets and restaurants.
On your last day, make the journey to the stunning Chandratal Lake, also known as the Moon Lake. The drive to the lake is an adventure in itself, taking you through rugged terrain and high-altitude mountain passes. Once you arrive, take a stroll around the lake and marvel at the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. If you're feeling adventurous, take a dip in the chilly waters of the lake. In the evening, head back to Kaza to end your tour of Spiti Valley.
If you have extra time, consider taking a side trip to the Dhankar Monastery or the Langza village. You can also enjoy several adventure activities such as skiing, trekking, and camping in the valley. Make sure to pack enough warm clothes as the temperature can drop below freezing point.
