Sorrento is a perfect starting point to explore Almafi Coast. Walk along the Marina Grande beach and enjoy the crystal-clear water. Head to Borgo Marinaro, a small fishing village that is totally picturesque. Visit the Sorrento Cathedral to see the amazing 15th-century bell tower.
Start your day off in Positano, the most famous town on the coast. Visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, and enjoy the stunning beach below with its crystal clear waters. Afterward, transfer to Amalfi. Spend a couple of hours wandering through the town, visit the Amalfi Cathedral and the Cloister of Paradise.
Begin Day 3 in Ravello where you will visit the Villa Rufolo and its stunning gardens. Later transfer to Minori, a small village located in a rocky basin surrounded by citrus groves. You can walk from the dock to the church of St. Trofimena and the Roman Villa with preserved mosaics.
End your journey by visiting the popular Capri Island. Here you can explore its small cobblestoned streets and discover the fascinating history of the Augustus Gardens. Take a boat tour around the island and see the Faraglioni Rocks and many other highlights. Be sure to try the famous Caprese salad for lunch before the journey back home.
Since you will be traveling around the Almafi Coast, consider renting a car. You will need to pay approximately $55-85 per day. Public transportation is available, but it can be difficult to travel from one location to another.
If you have more time, you can visit other fantastic places such as Praiano and Atrani. If you have limited time, consider leaving out Amalfi Cathedral or the Cloister of Paradise or visit just one of the two towns of Positano and Amalfi.
The nearest airport to Almafi Coast is Naples International Airport (NAP). It is located about 50 km from Almafi Coast. There are several private transfer services available that could cost around $100-$120 for a one-way trip.
