In the morning, visit Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,400 ft above sea level. This serene lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and lush greenery. Spend some time boating or just admiring the natural beauty. In the afternoon, head to Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, home to exotic flora and fauna. End the day with a visit to Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a temple dedicated to a soldier who lost his life near Nathula Pass.
Start the day early and head to Yumthang Valley, also known as the ‘Valley of Flowers. This picturesque valley is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the Himalayan black bear, red panda and musk deer. On the last day, visit Rumtek Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Sikkim. This beautiful monastery is home to several sacred relics, ancient manuscripts and works of art. In the afternoon, visit the Banjhakri Falls and Energy Park, a perfect place to unwind amidst nature. End the day with a stroll through the serene Enchey Monastery.
Make sure to try the local Sikkimese cuisine, especially momos and thukpa. If you have time, take a day trip to Nathula Pass, a high-altitude Himalayan pass that connects India and China. You can also visit the nearby town of Kalimpong, famous for its tea estates and orchid nurseries. To maximize your fun, go on a trek to the Goechala Pass or the Green Lake trek.
