Treks in Maharashtra: A 2-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Rajmachi Trek
    2 hours (50 miles) from Mumbai

    In the morning, we will drive to the base village of Udhevadi to start the Rajmachi trek. This trek is approximately 15 km long and takes around 6 hours. The trek has a mix of easy and moderate terrains which includes walking through dense forests, crossing small streams, and few rock-cut patches. You will witness the splendid view of the beautiful Kondhane and Ulhas valleys from atop the Rajmachi fort. We will have lunch at the fort and then descend to the base village. In the evening, we will drive to Lonavala for a peaceful overnight stay.

  2. Day 2: Kalsubai Peak Trek
    2 hours 30 minutes (80 miles) from Lonavala

    Early morning, we will drive to the base village of Kalsubai, which is the highest peak in Maharashtra. The trek is around 6 km long and takes around 4-5 hours. The trek is a medium-level trek with steep inclines, ladders, and rocky patches. The view from the peak is mesmerizing and you can witness the vast expanses of the Sahyadri range. We will have lunch at the peak and then descend to the base village. Later we will drive back to Mumbai.
