Kolkata to Darjeeling via Motorcycle: A 7-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Kolkata to Haldia
    130 km (approx. 3 hours)

    Start your journey from Kolkata and head towards Haldia. Visit the picturesque Gadiara and explore the ruins of the fort. Then enjoy a boat ride on the Haldi River and watch the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Haldia to Digha

    In the morning, visit the scenic Geonkhali and take a ferry ride to Gadiara. Then, head towards Digha, a seaside town known for its beautiful beaches. Spend the afternoon on the beach and try some fresh seafood.

  3. Day 3: Digha to Bakkhali
    170 km (approx. 4 hours)

    In the morning, take a dip in the Bay of Bengal and enjoy the sunrise. Then, proceed towards Bakkhali, a serene beach town. In the evening, take a stroll by the beach and watch the sunset.

  4. Day 4: Bakkhali to Sundarbans
    150 km (approx. 4 hours)

    Take a detour to Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world. Go on a boat ride and try to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger and other wildlife. Spend the evening by the river and enjoy a bonfire.

  5. Day 5: Sundarbans to Sajnekhali

    Continue exploring Sundarbans and head towards Sajnekhali. Visit the Sajnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary and the Mangrove Interpretation Centre. Spend the rest of the day hiking and exploring the forest.

  6. Day 6: Sajnekhali to Kalimpong

    Leave early and head towards Kalimpong. Stop by the scenic Chalsa and take a break. In the evening, explore the town of Kalimpong and visit the famous Durpin Monastery.

  7. Day 7: Kalimpong to Darjeeling

    End your journey by riding to Darjeeling, the "Queen of the Hills". Visit the famous Tiger Hill and watch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Explore the town and visit the tea plantations.
