Two-Day Itinerary for Jaipur in June 2024

  1. Day 1: Amer Fort
    30 minutes (8.6 km) from Jaipur City Center

    Start your day with a visit to the magnificent Amer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the stunning architecture and intricate artwork in the palace complex, including the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) and the Ganesh Pol (Elephant Gate). In the afternoon, take an elephant ride up to the fort for a unique experience. In the evening, enjoy a sound and light show that showcases the history of the fort.

  2. Day 2: City Palace
    20 minutes (5.2 km) from Amer Fort

    Explore the City Palace, a sprawling complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings that blend Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles. A part of the palace complex is still inhabited by the royal family, while the rest is open to visitors. In the morning, visit the museum that houses a large collection of royal costumes, weapons, and artifacts. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the palace to learn about its history and architecture. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani meal at one of the palace restaurants.

Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar (observatory), and Nahargarh Fort. You can also take a day trip to the beautiful Abhaneri stepwell or the colorful city of Pushkar.
