Relax in Kerala - 4 Day Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Varkala Beach
    1 hour 40 minutes (37 miles) from Trivandrum International Airport

    In the morning, enjoy the serene atmosphere of Varkala Beach with its soft sands and clear blue water. You can take a dip, sunbathe or go for a walk along the beach. In the afternoon, visit the Varkala Cliff where you can find many shops and restaurants. You can also go for an ayurvedic massage or attend a yoga class. In the evening, watch the sunset while sipping on a refreshing coconut water.

  2. Day 2: Alleppey Backwaters
    2 hours 30 minutes (70 miles) from Varkala Beach

    Start your day with a boat ride along the scenic Alleppey backwaters. Enjoy the lush greenery and spot some unique bird species. In the afternoon, have a traditional Kerala lunch on board the boat and continue the ride. In the evening, reach your accommodation which will be a cozy houseboat, and spend the night in the tranquility of the backwaters.

  3. Day 3: Munnar Tea Plantations

    In the morning, drive to Munnar to explore the tea plantations. You can visit the tea museum, learn about the tea-making process and taste some delicious tea. In the afternoon, visit the Mattupetty Dam and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. In the evening, relax in your hotel room and enjoy the cool breeze of Munnar.

  4. Day 4: Fort Kochi Beach
    3 hours 20 minutes (89 miles) from Munnar Tea Plantations

    Spend your last day in Fort Kochi Beach, known for its serene environment and colonial architecture. Walk along the beach, visit the Chinese fishing nets, and explore the surrounding streets filled with street art and cafes. In the afternoon, visit the St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India. In the evening, watch the sunset and bid farewell to Kerala before heading back to the airport.
