After checking in, spend the afternoon at the Katra market and relax in preparation for the early morning trek. In the evening, enjoy a traditional meal and rest for the intense day ahead.

Afternoon:

Early morning, embark on the trek to the Vaishnodevi Bhawan. The 12-kilometre trek is challenging, but the views and the spiritual experience make it worthwhile. On reaching the Bhawan, seek blessings and enjoy the serene surroundings. Descend back to Katra in the afternoon. Spend the evening enjoying a hearty dinner and sharing experiences from the trek.

Evening:

After the trek, relax and rejuvenate at your hotel. Consider attending the evening Aarti at the local temple for a spiritual experience. Alternatively, enjoy a family-friendly movie night or some stargazing on the hotel terrace.

Katra, India

Morning:

Today, return to Jammu city. In the morning, visit the Bahu Fort which offers panoramic views of the Tawi river and the city. Explore the beautiful gardens and historic structures within the fort premises. After a relaxed morning, head to the Dogra Art Museum to admire exquisite miniatures, embroidered Pashmina Shawls and ancient terracotta figurines. Have a traditional lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon:

In the afternoon, visit the Peer Kho Cave and the Mubarak Mandi Palace, two fascinating historical sites that will be engaging for both children and adults. Peer Kho is a sacred cave with a natural Shivling and Mubarak Mandi is an extensive palace complex with stunning architecture and interesting artifacts. Return to the city centre for an early dinner at a recommended local restaurant.

Evening:
