3-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit the Beaches
    15 minutes (5.6 km) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your day by visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in Goa. Begin at Baga Beach, known for its water sports activities. Spend the morning enjoying the waves and the sun. Afternoon, head to Calangute Beach, one of the busiest and most popular beaches in Goa, and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. End your day at Anjuna Beach, famous for its flea market and vibrant nightlife.

  2. Day 2: Explore the Old Goa
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from Anjuna Beach

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Then head to Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. Afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art, which has a collection of paintings, sculptures, and other artifacts. End your day by taking a cruise on the Mandovi River and enjoying the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Visit the Spice Plantations and Fort Aguada
    40 minutes (18.5 km) from Mandovi River

    Start your day by visiting the spice plantations in Ponda, where you can see and learn about various spices like black pepper, cardamom, and cinnamon. Afternoon, head to Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort, which offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. End your day by visiting the Chapora Fort, a popular filming location, and enjoying the sunset.

If you have more time, you can also visit the Dudhsagar waterfalls, take a hot air balloon ride over Goa, or go on a bird-watching tour in the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. You can also take a side trip to the neighboring state of Karnataka and visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi. To maximize your fun, try some of the local cuisine like vindaloo, sorpotel, and fish curry rice. Also, try the feni, a local alcoholic drink made from cashew or coconut. Finally, always wear sunscreen and carry a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun.
