Kedarnath and Badrinath Itinerary from Rishikesh

  1. Day 1: Rishikesh to Guptkashi
    7 hours (140 km) drive from Rishikesh

    In the morning, start your journey towards Guptkashi. After reaching Guptkashi, you can visit the famous Vishwanath Temple in the afternoon. In the evening, explore the nearby local market and try the local delicacies.

  2. Day 2: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
    6 hours (70 km) drive to Sonprayag, followed by 20 km trek

    Start your day early and proceed towards Sonprayag. From there, begin your journey on foot to Kedarnath. Reach Kedarnath by afternoon and visit the Kedarnath Temple. Spend your evening exploring the beautiful town and its scenic views.

  3. Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
    20 km trek, followed by 6 hours (70 km) drive to Guptkashi

    Start your journey back to Guptkashi early in the morning. En route, stop by the Triyuginarayan Temple, which is believed to be the location of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati’s wedding. Reach Guptkashi by evening and rest for the day.

  4. Day 4: Guptkashi to Badrinath
    8 hours (220 km) drive to Badrinath

    Start your journey early in the morning towards Badrinath. After reaching, take a dip in the Tapt Kund and visit the Badrinath Temple. Spend your evening exploring the Mana Village, which is the last Indian village before the Tibetan border.

  5. Day 5: Badrinath to Rishikesh
    10 hours (300 km) drive to Rishikesh

    Wake up early and visit the Badrinath Temple for the morning aarti. After that, start your journey back to Rishikesh. En route, you can visit the Narsingh Temple and the Ganesha Temple. Reach Rishikesh by evening and spend your last night exploring the city.
