Exploring Ujjain and Indore on a City Experience

  1. Day 1: Mahakaleshwar Temple, Ujjain

    In the morning, visit the Mahakaleshwar Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. Witness the Bhasma Aarti, a unique ritual where the lingam is adorned with ash. In the afternoon, head to the Kal Bhairav ​​Temple, located a few meters from Mahakaleshwar Temple. Other attractions to consider in Indore are the Patalpani Waterfall, Tincha Falls, and Mandu, a ruined city known for its Afghan architecture. Another side trip could be to Omkareshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, located about 80 km from Indore. To make the most of your trip, try to sample the local cuisine and attend any cultural events happening in the area.
