Munnar is a picturesque hill station nestled in the Western Ghats mountain range. Enjoy the scenic drive to Munnar and take in the endless tea plantations. Visit the Rajamalai Wildlife Sanctuary to spot rare species of wildlife like the Nilgiri Tahr and the lion-tailed macaque. Be sure to also visit the Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point for breathtaking views of the surrounding beauty.
Alleppey Backwaters is a serene location with peaceful and meandering canals, lagoons and lakes. Take a relaxing boat ride through the backwaters and soak in the lush greenery and diverse flora and fauna. Visit the Punnamada Lake and Nehru Trophy Boat Race, held annually, to see traditional snake boats race along the backwaters.
Traveling from one destination to another is quite smooth in Kerala. Taxis and buses are easily available for hire. For Day 2, the scenic drive to Munnar is a must-do experience.

If you have more time, consider spending a day at the pristine beaches of Kovalam or Varkala, or hiking to the top of Chembra Peak in Wayanad. If you have less time, you can skip Fort Kochi and head straight to Munnar or Alleppey Backwaters.
