Two-Day Itinerary for Gokarna and Honnavar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Gokarna Beach Trek
    20 minutes (9.6 km) from Honnavar

    Begin the day at 7 am with a scenic trek along the Gokarna beach trail, which is approximately 8 km long and takes around 4 hours to complete. Enjoy the stunning views of the Arabian Sea and lush green hills during the trek. You can climb up to the top and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. After that, visit the ancient Kaginele Mahaganapathi temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha, and admire the intricate architecture of the temple. For lunch, head to a local restaurant and relish some delicious cuisines. In the afternoon, drive to the stunning Murudeshwara Temple, famous for its 20-storey high gopura and the magnificent statue of Lord Shiva. You can also visit the nearby Murudeshwar beach and indulge in some adventure sports like jet-skiing and parasailing. In the evening, witness the grand Aarti ceremony at the temple and immerse yourself in the divine atmosphere.
