7-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Manali and Kasol in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrive in Manali
    From Bhuntar Airport to Manali (50 km, 2 hours)

    Upon arrival in Manali, you can enjoy a leisurely walk along the Mall Road and explore local cafes, shops, and restaurants. You can visit Hadimba Temple, a peaceful and serene place with a beautiful architecture. Don’t miss the Tibetan Monastery, a must-visit place to calm your senses.

  2. Day 2: Solang Valley
    13 km from Manali (30 minutes)

    Head to Solang Valley early in the morning to avoid the crowds. You can enjoy paragliding, zorbing, and other adventure activities here. Afternoon, you can visit the picturesque Rahala Waterfalls, a serene location to relax and admire the beauty of nature. You can also explore nearby Vashisht Village, famous for its hot springs.

  3. Day 3: Kullu and Naggar
    43 km from Manali (1 hour 30 minutes)

    Visit Kullu, famous for its handicrafts and shawls. You can explore the local market and also visit Kullu Shawl Factory. Later, head to Naggar and visit Naggar Castle, a beautiful historical building. You can also visit the Gauri Shankar Temple and Roerich Art Gallery.

  4. Day 4: Manikaran
    80 km from Manali (3 hours)

    Head to Manikaran, a religious destination famous for its hot springs, Gurudwara, and temples. You can enjoy a dip in the hot springs and also visit the Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. You can also visit Kulant Pith, Lord Ramchandra Temple, and Harinder Mountain.

  5. Day 5: Kasol
    35 km from Manali (1 hour 30 minutes)

    Explore the beautiful village of Kasol, situated on the banks of the Parvati River. You can enjoy a peaceful walk along the river and also visit Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. You can also visit the nearby Chalal Village, famous for its hippie culture and cafes.

  6. Day 6: Tosh
    20 km from Kasol (1 hour)

    Drive to Tosh, a remote village in the Parvati Valley. The village is situated at an altitude of 7,874 feet and offers breathtaking views of the mountains. You can visit the Tosh Village and also trek to Tosh Glacier.

  7. Day 7: Departure
    From Kasol to Bhuntar Airport (31 km, 1 hour)

    Depart for Bhuntar Airport and bid farewell to the beautiful mountains.
