Punta Sur Eco Beach Park is the largest ecological reserve in Cozumel. There are several activities to do here, including snorkeling, birdwatching, and exploring the lighthouse museum. Enjoy the stunning views of the Caribbean Sea and the lagoons.
Chankanaab National Park has a stunning lagoon with crystal-clear water, and it's perfect for snorkeling and seeing colorful fish up close. The park also has a sea lion show, a Mayan village to explore, and a botanical garden to appreciate the native flora.
After a morning of exploring, grab a Caribbean-style lunch at Coconuts Restaurant, which is located on the beach. Enjoy fresh seafood, refreshing drinks, and a relaxing view of the ocean.
Cozumel Marine Park is an excellent place for diving and snorkeling. The park is home to hundreds of species of fish and coral, and it's famous for its underwater statues. You can also enjoy a glass-bottom boat or a submarine tour to see the marine life without getting wet.
End your day by watching the sunset from the top of the Punta Sur Eco Beach Park Lighthouse. This lighthouse is the second-highest in North America, and the views are breathtaking. Be sure to bring your camera!
Cozumel is a relatively small island, so the main mode of transportation is renting a scooter, car, or taking a taxi. You can rent a scooter for around $30 a day, a car for around $50 a day, or take a taxi for about $10-20 to each location. All locations have free parking lots available.
If you have more time, consider spending a few hours at the San Gervasio Ruins, where you can learn about the Mayan culture and history. If you have less time, you can skip Coconuts Restaurant and have a quick meal at one of the street stalls nearby.
The Cozumel International Airport (CZM) is located in the city center and is about 3 km from the beach. The airport receives international and domestic flights, and it's easy to navigate. Make sure you have all the necessary documentation and paperwork before arriving in Cozumel.
