Exploring Coimbatore in 4 Days

  1. Day 1: Marudamalai Temple
    30 minutes (11.5 km) from Coimbatore Railway Junction

    Start your day by visiting the ancient Marudamalai Temple dedicated to Lord Murugan. Located on a hilltop, the temple offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. After seeking blessings, explore the serene surroundings of the temple. Grab a quick breakfast at the nearby restaurants and head to the Gass Forest Museum which is just a 15-minute drive away. Spend the afternoon learning about the flora and fauna of the region. In the evening, head to the Brookefields Mall for some shopping and entertainment.

  2. Day 2: Black Thunder & Kovai Kondattam
    1 hour (39.7 km) from Marudamalai Temple

    Start your day by heading to the famous Black Thunder water park, which is about an hour's drive from Coimbatore. Spend the morning enjoying the thrilling rides and wave pools. After a quick lunch, head to Kovai Kondattam amusement park which is just 10 minutes away. The park has a variety of rides and activities suitable for all ages. In the evening, head back to Coimbatore and enjoy some local street food at the Gandhipuram Market.

  3. Day 3: Dhyanalinga Temple & Isha Yoga Center

    Start your day by visiting the famous Dhyanalinga Temple which is located in the foothills of Velliangiri Mountains. The temple is known for its unique architecture and peaceful surroundings. Enjoy a healthy lunch at the center's restaurant and take a walk around the lush green gardens. In the evening, head back to Coimbatore and visit the famous Vellingiri Hill Temple.

  4. Day 4: Anamalai Tiger Reserve & Monkey Falls
    2 hours 30 minutes (93.4 km) from Dhyanalinga Temple

    Start your day by heading to the Anamalai Tiger Reserve which is about 2 and a half hours away from Coimbatore. The reserve is home to a variety of rare species including tigers, elephants, and leopards. Take a guided safari and explore the beautiful surroundings of the reserve. After a quick lunch, head to the nearby Monkey Falls which is just a 30-minute drive away. The falls are surrounded by lush green forests and make for a perfect spot for a refreshing dip. In the evening, head back to Coimbatore and enjoy a relaxing dinner at the famous food street in R.S. Puram.

If you are interested in history and archaeology, you can also visit the G.D. Naidu Museum and the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University which are located in Coimbatore.
