Begin your day early with a visit to Edakkal Caves, a natural cave formation that is home to ancient petroglyphs. The caves have been formed by a large split in a huge rock and offer breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The hike up to the caves is a bit challenging, but it's definitely worth it. Spend the morning exploring the caves and learning about their historical significance. After lunch, head to the nearby Wayanad Heritage Museum, which houses a vast collection of historical artifacts and handicrafts. In the evening, take a stroll through the nearby tea estates and enjoy the scenic beauty of the region.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
1 hour 30 minutes (26.1 km) from Kalpetta town

Start your day early and head out to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanadu. The trek to the peak is quite challenging and takes around 3-4 hours to complete, but the panoramic views from the top are simply breathtaking. After trekking back down, head to the nearby Soochipara Waterfalls for a refreshing dip in the cool waters. In the evening, visit the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary to spot some of the most exotic species of flora and fauna in the region.
