Family-Friendly 7-Day Itinerary for Chennai in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Marina Beach
    30 minutes (9.1 km) from Chennai International Airport

    Take a morning stroll along the 13-kilometre-long beach and watch the sunrise. Enjoy some street food and go horseback riding. In the afternoon, visit the 18th century St. Mary's Church and historic Fort St. George. In the evening, catch a sunset view of the beach and go shopping for souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Mahabalipuram

  7. Day 7: Crocodile Bank

Recommendations

If you have some spare time, consider visiting the DakshinaChitra museum, MGM Dizzee World, or the Cholamandal Artists' Village. Take a side trip to Kanchipuram, also known as the "City of Thousand Temples". To maximize your fun, hire a local tour guide or rent a car. Avoid visiting outdoor places during midday as it can get hot and humid in June.
