Experience Chandigarh in 3 Days - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Sukhna Lake
    20 minutes (7.6 km) from Chandigarh International Airport

    In the morning, head to Sukhna Lake to enjoy the peaceful scenery and take a boat ride. Afterward, visit the Rock Garden, a popular tourist spot, which is about 15 minutes away. Spend the afternoon exploring the unique sculptures and artwork made from recycled materials. In the evening, go to the Sector 17 Plaza, which is just 10 minutes away. It is a perfect place to do some shopping, dine at local restaurants, and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

  2. Day 2: Rose Garden and Pinjore Gardens
    25 minutes (9.4 km) from Sukhna Lake

    Spend the morning at the beautiful Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, which has over 50,000 rose bushes. Afterward, head to Pinjore Gardens, which is about 30 minutes away. These Mughal-style gardens offer scenic views, historic architecture and a serene atmosphere. In the evening, go to Elante Mall, which is just 15 minutes away. It is one of the largest malls in Chandigarh and houses popular stores and restaurants.

  3. Day 3: The Capitol Complex
    20 minutes (5.5 km) from Elante Mall

    In the morning, visit the Capitol Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site designed by Le Corbusier. Explore the magnificent architecture and history behind the Government buildings. Afterward, go to the International Dolls Museum, which is just 10 minutes away. It has an impressive collection of dolls from various countries. In the evening, enjoy the nightlife at the sector 26 market, which is just a few minutes away. You can try local street food or dine at one of the many restaurants.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, head to the nearby city of Panchkula, which is about 20 minutes away. You can visit the Cactus Garden or the Mansa Devi Temple. Other attractions in Chandigarh include the Terraced Garden and the Chandigarh Museum and Art Gallery. To maximize your fun, consider renting a bicycle or hiring a local guide.
