Exploring Kedarnath from Delhi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Reach Kedarnath
    From Delhi to Kedarnath (Approx. 358 km, 11 hours)

    Today, you will travel from Delhi to Kedarnath. It is advisable to start early in the morning to reach Kedarnath by late evening. You can take a break at Haridwar and Rishikesh while enjoying beautiful views of the mountains and rivers. After reaching Kedarnath, check into your hotel, relax, and have dinner.

  2. Day 2: Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus.   3. Day 3: Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary

    Today, visit Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to rare and endangered species like snow leopards and musk deer. The sanctuary also houses several Hindu pilgrimage sites like Triyugi Narayan and Vasuki Tal. After spending time in the sanctuary, you can explore the local markets and try some local delicacies. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

If you have more time, you can also visit Badrinath Temple, which is another significant pilgrimage site. You can also take a trek to Kedarnath from Gaurikund, which takes around six hours and offers beautiful views. To maximize your fun, try local cuisines like Kachmauli, Aloo ke Gutke, and Bal Mithai. It is advisable to carry warm clothes as it can get chilly in the hills even in July.
