4-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Beaches of North Goa
    25 minutes (9.6 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, head to Anjuna Beach to witness the stunning views of the Arabian Sea and also, visit the Anjuna Flea Market which is full of vendors selling souvenirs, clothing, jewelry, and handicrafts. In the afternoon, head to Baga Beach for some water sports activities, such as parasailing, jet skiing, and banana boat rides. And in the evening, visit Calangute Beach for a relaxing stroll, enjoy the sunset and indulge in some local street food.

  2. Day 2: Discover the Heritage of Old Goa
    25 minutes (8.3 km) from Calangute Beach

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and marvel at the architecture and artifacts of the church. In the afternoon, explore the Se Cathedral which is one of the largest churches in Asia and then head to the Museum of Christian Art which houses a stunning collection of Christian art. In the evening, visit the Panaji Market to shop for some souvenirs and handicrafts.

  3. Day 3: Experience the Serenity of South Goa
    30 minutes (10.8 km) from Panaji Market

    In the morning, visit the Shri Mangueshi Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, explore the pristine South Goa beaches, such as Palolem Beach and Agonda Beach for a more relaxed and peaceful experience. And in the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the Sal River and witness the stunning views of the mangroves and the sunset.

  4. Day 4: Forts and Spice Plantations
    20 minutes (5.6 km) from Sal River

    In the morning, visit the Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort and lighthouse. In the afternoon, explore the spice plantations of Goa, such as Sahakari Spice Farm and Tropical Spice Plantation to learn about the spices and herbs used in the local cuisine. And in the evening, visit the Fontainhas Quarter in Panaji to witness the beautiful Portuguese architecture and indulge in some local cuisine.
