2-Day Nature Itinerary for Hampi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Matanga Hill

    Matanga Hill is the highest point in Hampi and offers a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. Start your morning with a hike up the hill to catch the sunrise. In the afternoon, explore the Virupaksha Temple at the base of the hill, which is Hampi's oldest and most famous temple. In the evening, take a stroll along the Tungabhadra River to enjoy the scenic sunset.

  2. Day 2: Anjaneya Hill

    Start your day with a hike up Anjaneya Hill, which is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The trek is a bit challenging, but the view from the top is worth it. In the evening, head to the Lotus Mahal, which is a beautiful palace located inside the Zenana Enclosure.

Make sure to visit the Elephant Stables, which are a set of structures that were used to house the royal elephants during the Vijayanagara Empire. You can also take a coracle ride on the Tungabhadra River to enjoy the scenic beauty of Hampi from a different perspective.
