Nature Lover's Tour of Dadali in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Jabalpur Madan Mahal Fort
    15 minutes (5.6 km) from Jabalpur Airport

    In the morning, visit the Madan Mahal Fort, a 17th-century fort overlooking the city and the Narmada River. Explore the ruins, take in the panoramic views, and learn about the fort's history. In the afternoon, head to the Kanha National Park for a wildlife safari. Kanha is one of the largest national parks in India and is home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and Indian wild dogs, among other animals. Enjoy the natural beauty of the park and spot some of the wildlife. In the evening, relax at your hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Dumna Nature Reserve Park
    25 minutes (18 km) from Kanha National Park

    Start your day with a visit to the Dumna Nature Reserve Park. This park offers a variety of activities such as trekking, nature walks, bird watching, and more. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the park and the tranquillity it offers. In the afternoon, head to the Bhedaghat Marble Rocks, a scenic spot on the Narmada River. Take a boat ride to see the marble cliffs and their reflections in the river. In the evening, visit the Dhuandhar Waterfall, located nearby. Watch the waterfall and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the river.

Recommendations

While in Dadali, consider visiting the Bandhavgarh National Park, another great wildlife park in the area. You can also visit the Pachmarhi Hill Station for some scenic views and trekking opportunities. To maximize your fun, try some of the local cuisine such as dal bafla and jalebi, or shop for some traditional handicrafts at the local markets. If you have extra time, take a side trip to the Khajuraho Group of Monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its elaborate erotic sculptures.
