2-Day Mumbai Itinerary (June 2023)

  1. Day 1: Gateway of India
    10 minutes (2.6 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus

    In the morning, visit the iconic Gateway of India, a towering arch overlooking Mumbai Harbour. Built in 1924, it commemorates the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India. Take a boat ride to Elephanta Caves, a network of rock-cut temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, located on an island just off the coast. In the afternoon, head to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, a museum housed in a beautiful heritage building. Explore the art, history, and culture of India through its vast collection of exhibits. In the evening, visit Marine Drive, a scenic promenade that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Mumbai skyline.

  2. Day 2: Juhu Beach
    30 minutes (11.9 km) from Marine Drive

    Spend the morning at Juhu Beach, a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Take a walk along the sandy shore, watch the sunrise, and enjoy the street food. Head to the ISKCON Temple in the afternoon, a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. Explore the temple's beautiful architecture and attend the evening aarti ceremony. End the day at the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, an engineering marvel that connects Bandra to Worli. Enjoy the beautiful sunset and take some memorable pictures.

Recommendations

If you have time, you can also visit the Siddhivinayak Temple, one of the most famous temples in Mumbai, or the Haji Ali Dargah, a beautiful mosque located on an islet in the Arabian Sea.
