The Seville Cathedral is the largest Gothic-style cathedral in the world, it features fabulous stained-glass windows and many beautiful chapels. The Giralda Tower offers some of the best views in Seville and was originally built as a minaret for the mosque that once stood on the site.
The Triana neighborhood is one of the most authentic areas of Seville. Visit the old ceramic factory, the market, and stroll along the river. Just 10 minutes away is the Plaza de España, a beautiful square adorned with tiles that depict scenes from every Spanish province.
Seville is a very walkable city, and most of the attractions are located in the historic center. Taxis and public transport are available and affordable.
The best way to get around Seville is on foot. A taxi ride within the historic center should not cost more than £5. Public transport is mostly limited to buses, but they are cheap and reliable (£1.40 for a single ticket).
If you have more time, consider taking a day trip to the nearby towns of Córdoba or Granada. Alternatively, you could spend a day exploring the museums of Seville, such as the Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
If you have less time, skip the Triana neighborhood and spend more time exploring the Real Alcázar of Seville or the Seville Cathedral and Giralda.
Seville Airport (SVQ) is located 10 km from the city center. It is the second-busiest airport in Andalusia and receives flights from all over Europe.
