Nature Lovers Itinerary for Goa, O hetel in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary
    20 minutes (8.6 miles) from Goa, O hetel

    Start your morning at the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, home to over 400 species of birds. Take a guided tour through the mangroves and spot kingfishers, herons, and egrets along the way. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Reis Magos Fort, a historic Portuguese fort with stunning views of the Arabian Sea.   2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls

  3. Day 3: Mollem National Park

  4. Day 4: Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 40 minutes (46 miles) from Goa, O hetel

    For your final day, head to the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, a lesser-known gem of a reserve that offers some of the most pristine natural landscapes in Goa. Take a guided tour through the jungle and marvel at the massive ancient trees, waterfalls, and streams. In the afternoon, visit the nearby bubbling rock pools at the Bubble Lake, a unique geological formation. End your day with a visit to the Rivona Caves, ancient rock-cut caves with stunning carvings and architecture.

Recommendations

If you have the time, consider taking a side trip to the beautiful beaches at Agonda or to the Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, another protected area home to a variety of wildlife. For an adrenaline rush, try out some water sports at Calangute Beach or head to the Grande Island for some snorkeling and scuba diving. Don't forget to try out the local cuisine, including the famous seafood dishes and the spicy vindaloo curry. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the trips as some places may not have any shops nearby. Lastly, respect the natural surroundings and do not litter.
