4-Day Adventure Itinerary in Osaka and Kyoto

  1. Day 1: Hiking in Mount Koya
    2 hours 30 minutes (100 km) from Kansai International Airport

    In the morning, take a train to Mount Koya and hike the Koyasan Choishi Michi trail, a 7.2km path that takes you through the quiet forests and temples of the mountain.     Take a train to Yoshino River and join a guided whitewater rafting tour for an adrenaline-packed morning. Experience the thrill of navigating through the rapids and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Yoshino River Gorge. Have lunch at a local restaurant and then visit Kumano Nachi Taisha, one of the three sacred shrines in the Kumano region. Take a stroll along the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail and enjoy the peaceful forest. Finish the day with a visit to Nachi Falls, a spectacular waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
