4-Day Itinerary for Coimbatore, Pollachi, Athirapally in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Coimbatore
    Coimbatore International Airport to Gedee Car Museum - 10 minutes (2.7 km)

    Start your day at Gedee Car Museum, which houses an impressive collection of vintage cars and motorcycles. Spend your morning admiring the exhibits and learning about India's automotive history.

    In the afternoon, visit the Marudamalai Temple, located on a hilltop with stunning views of the city. The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and features intricate carvings and sculptures.

    In the evening, head to the Dhyanalinga Yogic Temple for a peaceful and spiritual experience. This unique temple combines traditional elements of temple architecture with modern technology to create a calming atmosphere.

  2. Day 2: Pollachi
    Gedee Car Museum to Anamalai Tiger Reserve - 1 hour 30 minutes (70 km)

    Start your day early and head to Anamalai Tiger Reserve, one of the best places to spot tigers in India. Take a guided safari through the lush forests and see if you can spot some of the reserve's other inhabitants like elephants, leopards, and gaurs.

    In the afternoon, visit the Aliyar Dam, a scenic spot with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and forests. You can also take a boat ride on the reservoir and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine.

    In the evening, visit the Pollachi Market, a bustling marketplace where you can find everything from fresh produce to handicrafts. It's a great place to soak up the local atmosphere and try some delicious street food.

  3. Day 3: Athirapally
    Aliyar Dam to Athirapally Waterfalls - 1 hour 45 minutes (70 km)

    Start your day at Athirapally Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in India. Take a refreshing dip in the pool at the bottom of the falls and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding forests.

    In the afternoon, visit the Vazhachal Waterfalls, located just a few kilometers downstream from Athirapally. These falls are smaller but equally beautiful, and you can take a peaceful nature walk through the surrounding forests.

    In the evening, visit the Charpa Falls, another small but picturesque waterfall just a short drive from Athirapally. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of sightseeing.

  4. Day 4: Departure
    Athirapally Waterfalls to Coimbatore International Airport - 2 hours 30 minutes (100 km)

    On your last day, take a leisurely drive back to Coimbatore and visit any of the places you missed on your first day.

    Before you leave, make sure to try some of the local cuisine, like Coimbatore-style biryani, kothu parotta, and masala dosa.

    Take home some souvenirs from one of the local markets, like the Gandhipuram Market or the Cross-Cut Road Market.
