Chandigarh to Manali: A 4-Day Adventure Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Chandigarh - Pinjore Garden - Timber Trail - Kasauli
    Estimated time: 4 hours (60 miles)

    In the morning, head to Pinjore Garden, also known as Yadavindra Gardens, and explore the Mughal-style garden with seven terraces. Admire the fountains, pavilions, and beautiful flower beds. After lunch, take a cable car ride at Timber Trail Resort and enjoy the panoramic views of the Shivalik mountain range. Finally, drive to Kasauli, a colonial hill station known for its serene surroundings and serene atmosphere. Take a stroll at the Mall road, visit the Christ Church, and end your day with a bonfire at your hotel.

  2. Day 2: Kasauli - Solang Valley

    Start your day with a scenic drive to Solang Valley, a famous adventure destination. If you're visiting between December and February, try skiing, snowmobiling or tubing. You can also opt for paragliding, zorbing or rappelling during the summer months. Spend the rest of your day enjoying the view of the snow-capped peaks and lush green meadows. After sunset, return to Manali and relax at your hotel.

  3. Day 3: Manali - Rohtang Pass - Hadimba Temple

    Get an early start to your day and drive to Rohtang Pass, a high mountain pass that connects Kullu valley with Lahaul and Spiti valleys. Enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan range and see the snow walls on both sides of the road. Return to Manali and visit the Hadimba Temple, a wooden temple dedicated to the goddess Hidimba. Take a walk around the Van Vihar park and shop for souvenirs at the Manali Mall road.

  4. Day 4: Manali - Naggar Castle - Kullu - Chandigarh
    Estimated time: 9.5 hours (250 miles)

    On your last day, visit the Naggar Castle, a medieval fortress converted into a heritage hotel. Walk around the castle and admire the stunning view of the Kullu valley. Then, head to Kullu and visit the Raghunath Temple, famous for its intricate carvings and beautiful architecture. Finally, drive back to Chandigarh and end your trip.
