Darjeeling Family Trip in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Tiger Hill
    20 minutes (7.3 km) from Darjeeling city center

    Start your day early with a visit to Tiger Hill before dawn to witness the stunning sunrise over the Himalayas. Marvel at the breathtaking view of Mount Everest and Mount Kangchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world. After the sunrise, take a short drive to Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in Darjeeling. Learn about the legendary climbers and their expeditions, climb a simulated peak and check out the collection of mountaineering gears. In the afternoon, head to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, a conservation park that houses the endangered species of the Himalayas such as the snow leopard, red panda and Tibetan wolf. Take a guided tour and learn about the conservation efforts. End your day with a visit to the Happy Valley Tea Estate, a picturesque tea plantation that offers a delightful tea-tasting experience. Learn about the tea-making process and enjoy the scenic views of the plantation.
