Hyderabad to Ladakh: A 3-Day Adventure Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Hyderabad to Delhi
    Flight: 2 hours 20 minutes (780 miles)

    In the morning, catch a flight from Hyderabad to Delhi. Once you arrive in Delhi, head to your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that served as the main residence of the Mughal Emperors. Walk around the complex and take in its stunning architecture. In the evening, visit the Lotus Temple, a Bahá'í House of Worship that has a unique lotus flower-inspired design. The temple is especially beautiful at sunset, and its serene atmosphere is perfect for relaxation.

  2. Day 2: Delhi to Leh
    Flight: 1 hour 15 minutes (420 miles)

    In the morning, take a flight from Delhi to Leh. Once you arrive in Leh, head to your hotel and take some time to acclimatize to the high altitude. In the afternoon, visit the Leh Palace, a former royal palace that offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Afterward, visit the Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa that offers beautiful views of Leh and the surrounding valleys. In the evening, take a stroll around the Leh Bazaar, where you can buy souvenirs and try local food.

  3. Day 3: Nubra Valley
    Drive: 4 hours (120 km)

    In the morning, start your drive to Nubra Valley, a high-altitude desert that is famous for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels. On the way, you will cross the Khardung La pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. Once you arrive in Nubra Valley, take a camel ride on the sand dunes and visit the Diskit Monastery, which has a 32-meter-tall statue of Maitreya Buddha. In the evening, return to Leh and spend some time exploring the local market.
