Family Friendly 3-Day Itinerary for Goa in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada and Sinquerim Beach
    23 minutes (9.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, visit Fort Aguada, a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort that served as a defense against the Dutch and the Marathas. Take in stunning views of the Arabian Sea and the Mandovi River. In the afternoon, head to Sinquerim Beach for some fun in the sun and sand. Enjoy water sports such as jet skiing, banana boat rides and parasailing. In the evening, visit the nearby Aguada Lighthouse, which offers breathtaking views of the coastline and the Arabian Sea.

  2. Day 2: Basilica of Bom Jesus and Anjuna Beach
    30 minutes (17.5 km) from Fort Aguada

    In the morning, visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. Admire the Baroque architecture and the ornate altars. In the afternoon, visit Anjuna Beach, which is known for its weekly flea market. Browse through stalls selling handicrafts, clothes, jewelry and souvenirs. Enjoy the sunset and indulge in some delicious seafood at one of the shacks on the beach. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll on the beach under the stars.

  3. Day 3: Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and Miramar Beach
    30 minutes (14.5 km) from Anjuna Beach

    In the morning, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, which is home to over 400 species of birds. Take a guided tour and spot birds such as the Indian pitta, the kingfisher and the white-bellied sea eagle. In the afternoon, head to Miramar Beach, a popular spot for swimming and sunbathing. Take a walk on the promenade and enjoy the cool breeze. In the evening, visit the nearby Maruti Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
