Start your trip off with a visit to Arikok National Park, the best way to experience the island’s natural beauty. The park spans over 7900 acres and features cave paintings, natural pools, and several hiking trails for visitors to explore.
Relax on the pristine Palm Beach, one of Aruba’s most beautiful beaches. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for snorkelling and other water activities. There are also plenty of beach bars and restaurants in case you need a break from the sun.
After a day of beach activities, head to the northern tip of the island to visit the historic California Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1914 and offers spectacular views of the Aruban coastline.
Spend your last full day on the island at Baby Beach, a calm and shallow cove perfect for swimming and snorkelling. There’s also an on-site bar and restaurant along with several beach huts to provide shade from the sun.
Before you leave Aruba, make sure to stop by Philip’s Animal Garden, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of abandoned and mistreated animals on the island. Visitors can meet and interact with a variety of animals, including horses, donkeys, and parrots.
Public transportation is available on the island, but it may not be the most convenient option. Taxis and rental cars are readily available at the airport and throughout the island.
If you have more time, consider renting a Jeep or ATV to explore more of the island’s off-the-beaten-path locations. For a shorter trip, consider cutting out one of the beach days and spending more time at Arikok National Park.
Aruba’s main airport is Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), which is located just a few miles from the capital city of Oranjestad. The airport is a hub for several airlines and offers direct flights to and from several US cities.
